* What a VOC! *
I just got back from Vote Of Confidence. It's the stage to pass for the candidates before they enter the interview stage.
After my korean class, I went to TUC, at 1pm. What a great time. 1pm, a time when all the jam started. Then, it was raining so heavily, the jam went worst. And because of the rain..My boots were wet, which led to another incident making me can't enjoy the VOC continuously.
Why?
My boots koyak!!! Deng! Fortunately there's Hazwan to take me to the nearest cobbler to mend it! After two hours, I need to leave that interesting session to claim my boots. Thanks Hazwan dear, it was really very kind of you! :)
VOC was great. I've never been to last year's. This year I went to support Bran, Chloe and Caf, and to also see new things. I know it would be very interesting and it was.
It's nice listening to different POV, different perspectives, different way of how people think and react. Some strategic answers and critical thoughts really enlightened me a lot. I loved the forum with Mr. Azran, CEO of Air Asia X. His warming up questions were not difficult yet not easy too. But it really let us know much of a person. And other questions boosted quite a lot of interesting answers, especially when Fadli said he would give him back the RM100000. Quite a slumber answer, but the way of answering it was awesome. The way! :)
I remembered there was one general question asked, which is "People oriented or Result oriented". Most of them choose people oriented. I think majority of aspiring leaders would choose that too. But if you ask me to choose I really don't know which. I think both are important elements just that People oriented attitude comes first. We need to be people oriented to create a bond, which enables a better result oriented team. I always believe when a team bonding is strong, the drive to achieve target goals will be stronger and more persistent. If everyone is result oriented within their own scope, he or she will just aim to finish up their own job, and it would be very stressful as he/she won't have the team spirit supporting them. Yeah, so, bond drives passion and commitment, which boosts results of achievements! Someone confessed today about how he was and I am very glad that you knew what was wrong and are changing the attitude. Way to go! I am so proud of you! You know who you are. :)
It's truly a nice experience. I'm very happy for Bran and Caf who passed the VOC. Although Chloe didn't get through, but she did well beyond expectations. I admired her courage to go for it. It certainly will be a great experience for her. ;) Congrats to the rest who passed too! :D
And oh yeah, when they were announcing the result by pouring water unto them (the traditional way), I was so scared when others were already poured but Bran wasn't yet. I kept on pulled Skit's sleeves. Skit would be laughing in his heart devilishly since he knew the votes. :P
Well, that's about it. All the best to those for the coming interviews. :)
Now, about myself.
Today we had a whole thick stack of korean embassies' past year papers to practise.
The major exam is on April. I know I have much to brush up.
I want to do it well. I have 3 months to go.
3 months of intensive learning and practising.
I told to myself I will do more extra learning.
It's really tough. Sometimes I even wondered whether will I pass it through.
Intermediate level for the embassy test isn't easy.
But for what I've hold on to for years, I will work hard.
