Am I A Perfectionist & a Risk Taker?

Today I found out something. Well, it's not a new found thing, it's sort of a confirmation of myself, of my personality.

I think I'm a perfectionist when it comes to doing things I love, or doing things I am responsible for. For simple things, I can polish it up for hours. Like a poster, or just an article, or whatever I do which I like to, I'll make sure it's good. For projects, I don't want it to be just ordinary. Even if it's ordinary, I want to integrate something special in it, something people will remember even when they left, even when they forgot most of the thing, they will remember that special thing.

These few days, for just a simple internship report, I can polish it over and over again, playing with more designs and making it my own organisation format. Then I thought it was too flamboyant and I don't want to pay so much cost for the printing of colours, I simplified it a little.

There's no rule of how the exact report format should be, so I created my own format; which I don't know whether is it allowed or not, having such a format for a report. Later on because it's a little flamboyant and I'm afraid the lecturer would be too traditional who sticks to the typical serious report format, and scrutinize my report, I decided not to take too high risk, I'll pull back some colours. But, it's still a risk I'm taking.

Yet I don't care to convert it back to those normal report I did. I want to have some fun, and let's see what will come out with it. And my report reflects on what my internship company taught me, to be creative, so what can the lecturers comment? I don't dare to stress all my creative juice in it though, or else it'll turned out to be a presentation instead.

Sometimes it's just fun to create your own things, with your own ideas, and not sticking to the norm and doing it the usual way. :D But of course, you still need to abide to certain rules.

Well, my report is not totally out of the way anyway. But if they deducted marks just because of how I present it in such a way, I just have to say that they can't accept such format, and for such people I can't give them such format as well.

Just like Thomas Edison, he failed 999 times, but he found out 999 ways which will NOT create a light bulb.
